Geographic Information Systems Trade Show
Manley Solutions offers support for a wide range of wireless systems, and provides network connectivity specifically with wireless service. For the trade show event, Manley Solutions provided Internet access for over 80 laptop users using 3G routers. With this wireless access, trade show staff was able to better feature thier products as well as the applications of GIS specific software. Manley Solutions' wireless solutions are able to be implemented in the field for remote usage working with GIS programs. The County of Los Angeles Chief Information Office, along with Regional Planning, ISD, and other County departments and vendors hosted an event to familiarize industry members with the ways in which Geographic Information Systems can improve strategic and management decisions, as well as explore how GIS impacts society. GIS is an information system that helps get critical information to the decision makers who need it in a useful, easily understood form. It was created to facilitate cooperation among agencies in the County of Los Angeles by promoting the development, acquisition, and dissemination of GIS infrastructure and geospatial data throughout the County. |
